About the Press
Scholarly Communication is an open-access academic publishing press operated by ACCB Publishing, the publishing arm of the Alliance for Community Capacity Building (UK), a registered charity.
The press publishes scholarly books, monographs, edited volumes, and academic series across the social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary fields, with particular attention to work engaging with society, culture, space, development, and public life. Scholarly Communication is committed to rigorous editorial standards, transparent peer-review processes, and ethical publishing practices.
All publications are made freely available to readers worldwide, supporting the principles of open scholarship and knowledge dissemination for public benefit. The press seeks to provide an inclusive platform for established and emerging scholars, including voices from underrepresented regions and contexts.
Scholarly Communication operates within a broader academic publishing ecosystem that includes the peer-reviewed journal Space & Culture, offering a unified and credible space for the production and circulation of socially engaged scholarship.
